When we began working on Neom, we didn’t ask, “What should
it look like?”We asked, “What does Khetwadi, Girgaon sound like?”
Khetwadi has always had its own rhythm… the clinking of
steel pipes being loaded, the sparks from welders, the quiet strength of
generations trading in toughness. It’s more than a market; it’s a community
built not on glamour but grit. It’s built on resilience, reliability, and raw
energy.
Before we started blueprinting, we spent time walking the
gullies of Khetwadi, not as developers but as listeners & observers. We
wanted Neom to have just one simple thing: Steel, because that’s the unsaid
language of this place.
That one insight became the cornerstone of Neom.
We didn’t follow inspiration, we followed people. We didn’t
chase trends; we traced stories. A facade that does not just reflect the sun…it
would reflect the soul of its surroundings
Our design team debated how much shine was too much. They
studied the light at different times of the day. They drew, erased, redrew…not
because they were chasing perfection, but because they were trying to get the
emotion right.
Steel isn’t just used in the structure; we’ve tried to
celebrate it. The building wears it with pride. From the sweeping curves below
to the sharp verticals above, Neom is a study in contrasts - grit and grace
We do not just want to construct a building. We want to
reflect a neighbourhood.
NEOM stands today not as an outsider in Khetwadi’s story,
but as a new chapter, written in the same ink the locals have used for
decades.
